Daily Habits That Can Make You Get Fat

During my secondary school years there was a song that we will recite at least once every week the understanding of which has helped me take vital decisions in life with utmost caution bearing in mind that the choices we make rules us at the end of the day. The song title says ‘You can become whatever you choose to be’, this is an indication that whatever we are today is as a result of some decisions we took yesterday while tomorrow will manifest the decisions we take today.

Some individuals have added weight unnecessarily due some habits they have inculcated in times past.

These are some of these decisions;

Sleeping Too Little Or Too Much

According to Wake Forest researchers, dieters who sleep five hours, or less put on 2½ times more belly fat, while those who sleep more than eight hours pack on only slightly less than that. Shoot for an average of six to seven hours of sleep per night—the optimal amount for weight control.

Not Drinking Enough Water

It’s easy to forget to drink, especially in the winter months when we’re not sweating or just a little if we do. Your body uses water for various waste processing tasks, which indicates the essence of the daily intake of the recommended 8 cups daily.Keep In Mind! Of course, water in your belly is no substitute for a healthy diet, but it definitely helps avoid mindless eating or thinking you’re hungry when you’re not.

Skipping Main Meals (Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner)

Each meal has a specific function in its part of the day. Breakfast tells your body that there’s no famine, that it can still power you to your fullest potential. Lunch, of course, helps you go through the long afternoon hours. Dinner, too, helps your metabolism keep up its pace and energy until you go to sleep. Skipping any one of these meals can put you into semi-starvation mode, which isn’t good for your weight loss plan.

Drinking Soda

People think that regular soda is evil and diet one is good, but that’s far from the truth. Yes, regular version is packed with sugar and not much else, but its “light” version isn’t much better as both gives room for accumulation of unnecessary body fat. Diet sodas are also a poor substitute for the water that you should be drinking throughout the day.

Eating Junks

It is no more a headline that junks do more harm to the body than good. The ingredients after going through the mode of preparations would have lost majority of their nutrients, the situation is not better when certain preservatives which have been confirmed carcinogenic are added alongside the enormous sugar quantity it contains.

Avoiding Exercise

Of course the unused carbohydrate are stored in the body as fat and one vital way of losing such fats is through exercise,  lack of an exercise plan is an invitation to fat accumulation and inevitably obesity.

Eating Unbalanced Diet

When an individual takes more of carbohydrate and fats and oil laddened foods and ignore the proteins, vitamins and minerals of this world that helps utilize the energy from the aforementioned class then it is sure that the fellow will end up being fat.

To you dear reader if you are a victim of some of the mentioned habits do well to seek medical and nutritional assistance before excessive fat takes its toll on you.

Stay Healthy!!!
